Quoted in yesterday’s Sydney Morning Herald we have this from the PM:
“Solar is a nice, easy soft answer….”
Umm..yeah…that’s sounds like a good thing.
“There is a vague idea in the community that solar doesn’t cost anything….”
Well after the intial outlay that’s pretty true isn’t it?
”….unless you want to have a windmill every few hundred feet starting at South Head and going down to Malabar … you simply won’t be able to generate enough power from something like wind…..”
Fair call. This is quite visionary. I’ve been dreaming about gently turning windmills down Sydney’s coastline. Might be a beautiful sight and would surely be remarked upon around the world.
